Fox Hall Apartments (Houston, Texas)

Fox Hall Apartments was later spared from any right of way demolitions.

Originally appearing on Carbon-izer.com, Fox Hall Apartments at 8222 Kingsbrook Road has no direct access off of Katy Freeway but some of the buildings do abut it.

The history of Fox Hall Apartments is a little fuzzy in the early years. The apartment complex started out as Kingsbrook Apartments, though with only half of the ~300-unit complex Fox Hall would later have, though in 1967 the apartments did add 94 new units. Kingsbrook Apartments also had the address of 8255 Kingsbrook.

One of the first references for Fox Hall Apartments, then known as the Foxhall, comes in 1971. There are indications that Fox Hall Apartments was expanded to their current size during this time under new ownership, hence the new name and new project.

The Enclave at the Stadium (Waco, Texas)

Source: Waco-Tribune Herald, September 17, 1971

Originally appearing on Carbon-izer.com, these apartments were first built as Pecan Gardens Apartments in 1971 with the address of 1601 Spring Street. At some point, however, the apartments went Section 8 and by the early 1990s were renamed The Villas of Lake Brazos. It was even shut down at one point in the early 1990s due to crime problems. Around 2007 the apartments were purchased, renovated, and renamed as "Lakewood Villas Apartment Community" but low occupancy and a double murder in 2011 caused the apartments to be foreclosed on, and ended up causing it to be relinquished from its Section 8 status. The apartments were evicted again, renovated and reopened as The Hype in time for fall 2014 at Baylor. By early 2016, the apartments had changed names to The Enclave at the Stadium and changed addresses to 1600 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, as when it became The Enclave, a new connection was added to the road (though it lacked a left turn lane in and out—U-turns are required at East 11th or East 7th).
